Discovered by chance, the value for money is excellent. We ate on the terrace and had a savory tart, a very good chicken dish, and two equally delicious desserts.

20/04/2026: Excellent restaurant, reasonable prices, fresh produce. The food is just as good at lunchtime as it is in the evening. The waitresses and waiters are very pleasant, attentive, and available. Well done!
30/03/2026: A very warm welcome and excellent service in a place that combines a tobacconist, a bar, and a restaurant. The food is superb, whether it's the young rooster served on the menu or the free-range chicken from the Ain region with morels. It's the kind of place you wish you had right on your doorstep.

Restaurant La Canaille

05/05/2026: A stop at this restaurant before catching a train at the station across the street was a very pleasant surprise! The value for money is outstanding, the drinks and food are excellent (vegetarian options available), and the 60s/70s ambiance gives this place a special atmosphere. It's also run by volunteers who organize conferences and other events! In short, a stop I highly recommend if you're passing through Bourg-en-Bresse.
