During our visit to Albi and our stay at the Cascabar restaurant, we were delighted by the excellent cuisine and the friendliness of the staff. Scrambled eggs with summer truffle, prawn cigar, vegetable lasagna, and beef cheek with pan-seared foie gras – bravo, it was superb!

This place is a hidden gem in the heart of Albi's historic center, just steps from the Cathedral. The jungle-inspired decor is both comfortable and refined. The welcome is warm and attentive, the service is impeccable, and the manager's excellent recommendations are perfect for choosing the ideal food and wine pairings. The cuisine is creative and flavorful, the tastes are bold yet perfectly balanced, and it's a true delight for the taste buds! It's also beautifully presented, a feast for the eyes before the palate. You're never disappointed and are always pleasantly surprised by this original fusion cuisine. We eagerly await the autumn menu for new discoveries! Plus, the value for money is truly outstanding! A must-try.

A truly fascinating and enriching experience, both culinaryly and gastronomically, as well as historically, with the origin of the name referring to the city of Cascar (more precisely "Kashgar"), a crossroads of the Silk Road, an oasis amidst the arid deserts of Central Asia. A set lunch menu is available for just €18, offering either a starter/main course or a main course/dessert (as I did). In the evening, an à la carte menu is available, showcasing fusion cuisine and exploring new sensations and exotic flavor combinations. For example? "Salt-cured foie gras with vanilla and spiced rum, pineapple and Sichuan pepper chutney, toasted bread"... or perhaps "Seared butterfly prawns with a medley of vegetables, fregola sarda risotto, and spring vegetables"... A must-try!

Perfect service, the servers are attentive. The food is excellent, I can't wait to go back. The terrace is pleasant and shaded at lunchtime.
