I tried this place by chance while waiting for my car's MOT. Breakfast was decent, and the service was pleasant. The owner's children were playing, but they were well-behaved and didn't bother me much. The seats and dishes are all worn. Unfortunately, I get the impression they struggle to keep the place stocked, which probably doesn't help with replacing the equipment. The customers, who seem to prefer American chains and frozen food or poor-quality coffee, were crammed in across the street (I'll never understand why).

It's okay for a drink, however we made the mistake of being tempted by a sweet crepe... We won't be fooled again! They were simply frozen crepes, dry and still cold.

A rather cozy neighborhood café. If you're feeling peckish around 6 pm or fancy an aperitif, this café might be just what you're looking for. 🙂 I had fries and fried chicken pieces. They were good.

The food is good, but the service is incredibly slow! The cocktails are nice, but they're served without anything (olives or peanuts). We tried it three times, and each time we had to wait an hour for our food, and the service was incredibly slow (only one or two plates at a time, so it takes forever). It's a real shame about the lack of organization!

07/08/2026: A restaurant with a charming terrace in the citadel of Blaye, with friendly and delightful staff who go out of their way to explain their dishes. Arriving at 2:30 pm, after lunch service in France had ended, we could only choose from the tapas menu: baked Camembert with honey and herbs, and a shared platter with charcuterie (chorizo, salchichón, and a ham similar to Serrano ham) and cheeses (goat's cheese, Camembert, and another, Conté-style), confit garlic, honey, chickpea hummus, red pepper hummus, gherkins, bread, and butter. For dessert, homemade ice creams with very original flavors such as Breton palet biscuits or spirits like Pineau de Charente. To drink, cranberry syrup with sparkling water, peach syrup with still water, and a glass of Clairet Bordeaux rosé, a more intense 100% Merlot. The interior decor is lovely, and there's a high chair from the 1960s in France.

02/07/2026: A very family-friendly atmosphere with a consistently warm welcome. The food is unpretentious but good quality; a special mention goes to the couscous on Thursdays and Fridays (kefta, yum!).
