Easily the best place on the mountain for lunch. We last ate here 16 years ago and there was a little trepidation- would the tartiflette be as good as we remembered? Would the atmosphere be as good. It was, we had tartiflette, steak and a pot stew that was simply delicious. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and the staff very welcoming even though we got there an hour ahead of our booking (kids were faster on the xc skis than expected). Portions are generous enough to feel like a proper meal, but not as overwhelming as at some restaurants. So we still had space for desert - and that was a good thing too because the deserts were also delicious. The only people I wouldn't recommend it to is a family with picky kids. There is a kids option, but it isn't a "pizza, burger, chips etc" sort of place. I just hope we don't delay another 16 years before going back.

A truly exceptional lunch. The meat was incredibly tender, the dishes both refined and beautifully presented. The service made all the difference: attentive, responsive, genuinely kind, and even with a touch of humor, which is rare at altitude. The location is peaceful, off the slopes, and in a magnificent setting. I highly recommend it, and I can't wait to go back.

A warm welcome. A menu with plenty of choice, local products, and delicious grilled meats 😋 We come here whenever we ski in Alpe d'Huez 2 or 3 times in winter. If we're not skiing, we take the opportunity to do our hike – a 1.5-hour walk there and a little less on the way back. I highly recommend it.
