Chalet Remy sur Saint-Gervais-Les-Bains

The place is simply amazing I was there with a group of Jews for the weekend and Shabbat. The owners went out of their way to help accommodate the group, and the stay was more than adequate The place is clean and maintained to a very high standard, even for a prestigious area. The kitchen was converted to a kosher kitchen despite all the requirements, and the food and cooking were done on site for the entire weekend, including Shabbat Highly recommend

The house is spectacular, very pleasant. Perfect for a large group. We spent a weekend there with the whole family, 26 in total. It was fantastic, we'll always remember it and hope to return. The photos perfectly reflect the space. Very well equipped with everything necessary. The only downside is the distance to the towns. You have to take the car for everything, but that's normal if you're looking for such a large house.

Chalet Remy is a wonderful and very large Chalet from which to enjoy the Saint Gervais and surrounding region. The house is immaculate, has been recently renovated and can easily host three families if not more. Catherine is a wonderful host and will help with any and all plans including taking your bread and croissant (or pain au chocolat) order nightly to be delivered in time for breakfast the next am. She even helped us out in a pinch for a last minute buche de nouvelle ans. House has hot tub, sauna, 2 adjacent movie rooms (1 for adults and 1 for kids) in the basement and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need to cook including plates, dishes, cookware etc etc. There is a Nespresso machine and a (new) coffee machine for espressos and such with fresh coffee beans. The ski area of Bettex is about a 10 minute drive or 7 minute gondola ride from the town of Saint Gervais which is in the valley. That gondola drops you in Bettex, the base of the Bettex ski area, where Chalet Remy is located. From there, you take another gondola up to ski. You could also take the gondola down into town to every shop etc. In order to access the two Bettex gondolas (once going up, one going down) from Chalet Remy you take a bus which picks you up at the end of the Chalet Remy drive and is a 10/15 minute ride even though you are only about an 8 minute walk to the gondola (because the bus does a one-way loop). Problem is walking to the gondola with kids and boots and skis etc.. When there is more snow, it seems like it would be possible to ski back directly to Chalet Remy but that was not the case for our stay. From Bettex you can access several other ski areas: Saint Nicolas which you can easily access on skis from the main Bettex Gondola; Megeve, which you can also access by skiing from Bettex (takes about an hour to get there). If you want to ski Les Contamines (recommend) nearby, you need to either drive (20 to 30 minutes) or presumably use public transport to get over there. It’s a full ski day over there as there is no connection between the Saint Gervais (Bettex, Saint Nicolas, Megeve) ski area and Les Contamines even though it’s all on the same ski pass. Highly recommend!

We stayed at Chalet Rémy with our entire family for our wedding, and the place was simply splendid, idyllic! We had a dream weekend.
