Le cadre de la salle à manger est superbe. La carte est décevante avec un seul menu à 6 plats.Nous n’en prenons que 3.Le foie gras poêlé est bon, mais à chaque plat, il y a un surplus d’ingrédients qui n’apportent rien et au contraire masque l’arôme de l’aliment principal. Le vin « Château de Mercues » est excellent.

Wonderful location, the food met all expectations and a few courses exceeded expectations. The very young room staff was excellent. A fabulous overall experience.

Pleasant and friendly place. We were not able to take advantage of the daily menu. We had to take the card and were warned after getting seated. The bill was steep, which was not at all within our budget on a weekday. Delicious dishes but not very filling... succulent dessert. We were left hungry... too bad.

Highlight, food wise of a month long cycling trip through France. Had already visited the wine cellars and tasted some of their excellent red wines, and were really looking forward to dinner. Warmly welcomed and started with a nice aperitif, to celebrate Mark Cavendish winning a Tour de France stage. Service was excellent throughout and bilingual. We also opted for the wine pairings which were extremely good and matched the excellent food.

Very good address from all points of view (setting, reception, menu). The daily menu is a delight of gourmet flavors. Everything is homemade.

16/09/2024: We had lunch sat outside in the sun. We can speak a bit of French and the staff a bit of English, so we managed to muddle through. Really good food and great atmosphere. We and our dog were made very welcome.
26/08/2024: Returning to this restaurant for a lunch with friends, satisfaction is always there. The fu jour menu had 2 starter and main course options. Those who had taken the menu enjoyed themselves, while emphasizing the generosity of the portions. For me it was an a la carte ocean salad, a classic with them but since my last visit, oysters have been added to the dish, in addition to prawns, shrimp, smoked salmon, salad, tomatoes, toast , butter and thin slices of pomelo and lemon! Beautiful, hearty and good! I am happy to have introduced this restaurant to my friends, I will go back there when I am back in Charente and I recommend it.

30/08/2023: Discovery of this small bistro adjoining the intermarché, and we really enjoyed it, homemade burgers, salads, homemade fries, dish of the day or suggestion from the chef, varied menu with vegetarian options. also sandwich to take away. Very satisfied, generous cuisine, very pleasant service and reasonable prices. Find out about eating times. Thank you for the welcoming.
