Excellent tartiflette and pizzas

Chez Boris deserves praise first and foremost for one important reason: the restaurant remains open year-round, even outside of peak tourist season. In La Mongie and the surrounding area, it's the only establishment I know of that maintains such continuity. The cuisine is classic, but good and varied: daily specials, burgers, pizzas… I come here regularly throughout the year, since I own an apartment right next door, and I've always been well served, without any unpleasant surprises. Unfortunately, my last experience was very different. Today, after a long hike to the Pic du Midi, we arrived a little after 2 p.m. The cook was still behind the counter, so we asked if it was still possible to order a pizza. The owner told us yes. But once back at the apartment, we discovered that the pizza was covered in hot oil. It was simply inedible, even though I usually enjoy spicy food. I obviously can't say for sure that this was done intentionally, but the circumstances unfortunately suggest that our late order might have caused some inconvenience. In any case, a pizza served in that state should never have left the kitchen. It ended up in the trash. I'm still giving it a 3/5 rating, because I'm taking into account all my previous experiences, which had always been satisfactory. But as a very regular customer, I really don't appreciate this kind of bad joke.

A delicious meal in a warm, mountain village atmosphere. Tartiflette, raclette, and entrecote steak for our group. Generous and tasty portions, perfect for an outdoor getaway. Highly recommended!
