An exceptional restaurant at the foot of the castle. Excellent value for money, everything is delicious. A sure bet for castle visitors 🏰 and highly recommended by locals. Remember to book ahead, as it's in high demand. Enjoy your meal!

Restaurant in the center of Amboise, at the foot of the castle. Excellent main course (scallops), but small portion. Rather ordinary starter (salmon and onion soup). Classic dessert. If you don't order a starter, you'll leave feeling hungry. A shame. €175 without wine, for 3 people. Above average value for money. Service sometimes a little pushy. Overall, very good.

What a great time at this restaurant! This establishment truly elevates the restaurant experience and everything it should be. The owner, Frédéric, provides an incredibly warm welcome. His professionalism shines through in every aspect of his hiring. Bravo to the whole team: Luna, Dominique, Kylian... Ultra-professional and so friendly. Thank you, team: we had a fantastic weekend with friends, and you played a big part in that! Oh yes, I almost forgot! The pastries are amazing! Special ovation to Jordan ;)... Anyway, we're not quite here yet, but you'll see us again soon ;)

The storefront isn't much to look at, but it's a great restaurant!! I recommend booking in advance! The waiter was very friendly and pleasant. The portions are generous and really delicious. We had a lovely meal.

Our hotel had reserved two places for us. We arrived, and the waiter was clearly overwhelmed and busy. There was no welcome. We made our presence known. Upon reading our name from his book, he announced loudly, "Our name... it's downstairs, take them downstairs." We didn't understand anything. Finally, a waiter escorted us to a room he called the cellar, then the basement... in reality, a room that had NOTHING TO DO with the charming bistro atmosphere on the ground floor. The lighting was harsh, there was no ambiance or decor, and the waiter was very, very kind but understood our disappointment. We decided to leave. It's regrettable to treat customers like fools. It would have been appropriate to inform the hotelier when making the reservation that the bistro room was full and that we were relegated to the basement, which we would have refused. It's a shame. The hotelier puts his name on the line by making the reservation for us. We were very confident we'd have a lovely table. Not to be repeated…

In the middle of town is this efficient, busy spot serving classic bistro fare done extremely well. Think soupe a l'oignon, beef tartare, steak and frites, and an absolutely correct seasonal menu. Highest level of quality despite the apparent simplicity, attentive service, and the correct feel for such a place. Booking recommended.

Passing through Amboise, we discovered this restaurant opposite the castle. A warm welcome, professional and friendly service. As for the food, a true delight, and to finish, absolutely fabulous homemade desserts. We will gladly return.

An excellent experience, perfect in every way. I will gladly return. From the appetizer to the dessert, including the coq au vin (and the wine itself), there was nothing to criticize. Special mention for the bread, which was on par with the rest of the cuisine.
