Today I am in NJ and had great meal with you on 10th September 2024 and I do recommend any one interested in authentic Chinese food. However I am missing the email contact of the restaurant as I wanted to enquire about my credit card which probably missed to take out from the payment folder-my card is ending with 4635. If you have found, I will be happy if you destroy it. I will expect a reply. Thanks-no one from the restaurant is interested to reply to anyone‘s comments which is very very unprofessional and sad.

My experience at the Diep restaurant, located at 55 rue Pierre Charron, left me with a mixed, even frustrating, impression. Upon arrival, you are greeted by a cozy and elegant setting, certainly, but quickly weighed down by a feeling of oppression due to an excessively low ceiling; Prepare to feel some discomfort, a feeling amplified by the exorbitant prices charged here.
What is most shocking is the blatant imbalance between price and quantity. For example, I ordered the beef with basil for 41 euros. For a dish at this price, I expected a portion worthy of the name, with at least one side included. What a disappointment! The dish is good, certainly, but for 41 euros, we have the right to expect much more. The sticky rice at 9 euros is also an aberration. The portion served was ridiculously small, almost laughable. At this price, we expect to receive double, if not more. We really have the impression that each dish is calculated to maximize margins, to the detriment of customer satisfaction.
The service is decent, even if some servers seem a little too eager to clear things up, which reinforces the feeling that the customer is there to consume quickly and above all pay a high price. That said, the general atmosphere remains pleasant, and the place is busy, even during the week, proof that the place knows how to attract a certain clientele. However, is this enough to justify prices that border on indecency? Hard to say.
Ultimately, Diep is more like a luxury showcase than a real restaurant where you can eat your fill. We come there for the image, to say that we have dined there, but certainly not to leave satisfied, especially with such minimalist portions. The value for money is outrageous, and you can't help but feel a little cheated afterwards. If you are looking for a good Asian meal, suffice to say that there are places that are just as good, but much more financially reasonable.
