Chez Fano sur Alencon

What can I say... We stumbled upon "Chez Fano," a small restaurant in terms of its exterior, but surprisingly spacious inside. A word of advice: BOOK BEFORE YOU GO, as the restaurant is always packed. We were lucky enough to get a table for two at lunchtime, and even though we didn't have a reservation, they went out of their way to find us a lovely little table upstairs with a pretty candle. And despite the crowd, we never felt cramped or confined. After ordering, and thanks to the excellent recommendations of our dedicated waiter, Kilyan, we simply had a magical experience! The appetizer platter was perfect: the oysters, prawns, foie gras, and salmon to share between two were simply perfect, with subtle and delicate accompaniments... The dishes were as delicious as they were beautiful to look at. The scallops are a true delight for the taste buds, the Beef Mille-Feuille is a delightful surprise with its baby vegetables and Camembert sauce... And the desserts perfectly round off the meal, leaving an unforgettable memory. A huge thank you for the royal welcome we received, especially from Kilyan, a very kind and attentive waiter. As for the price, it's extremely affordable considering the quality—with the added bonus of being able to help yourself to seconds of fries, risotto, etc. Finally, the setting is perfect: simple yet elegant, efficient and luxurious without ever being over the top. A favorite spot that we'll definitely be returning to!

Passing through the area, we booked based on Google reviews and we weren't disappointed! A wonderful discovery! From appetizer to dessert, everything is homemade and, what's more, prepared with a touch of originality. The welcome is very friendly, and all this for a very reasonable price! Everything was a delight. We dined outside at lunchtime. The foie gras was superb, as was the the millefeuille steak. The waiter was very helpful. The bill was very reasonable indeed for such excellent food.

The dishes were flavorful and high-quality—a true delight from start to finish! A big thank you also to Kyllian, our server, for his professionalism, kindness, and attentiveness. Pleasant, attentive, and full of helpful advice, he greatly contributed to making our meal even more enjoyable. A truly wonderful experience, both in terms of the food and the service. Excellent cuisine. The menu featured sea bass fillet and baby vegetables, both cooked perfectly and delicious. We left a plate empty. The dessert was generous, and the service was good. The only complaint was the wine served in a carafe, which came from a box... No half-bottle for two... a shame. But apart from this detail (it is a restaurant, after all), everything else makes it worth a visit, and we'd love to go back.
