Excellent! I knew them by name, it was impossible to reserve a table, and I only stayed one week in Paris.
And as luck would have it, on a rainy early evening, I pass by and try my luck.
The manager, very kindly, promises to try to find me a table, and advises me to sit at the café opposite while waiting.
In the rain, he comes to pick us up.
Exquisite evening, most pleasant welcome as if we were regulars, delicious dishes, more than generous portions.
A precious moment, a place with a soul, a restaurant unlike any other.
The best dinner in Paris!
I will definitely return and highly recommend.

I've been a regular customer for 10 years. The taste, atmosphere, and service are reminiscent of the good old Paris of the 1960s. Recommended appetizers include pickled herring and warm lentils, and main dishes include chicken with seasonal sauce (chicken roe in winter, vegetable sauce in summer) or sole meunier. For dessert, above all, the best prune Armagnac and mille-feuille. Be sure to make your reservation as early as possible. It is only open during weekday afternoons and evenings, and is said to be fully booked every day. As expected, it is a hidden gem for gourmet Parisians.

Great food, the place was crammed with not much space between the tables. The staff were very pleasant but really busy. And due to the limited space they kept bumping into me.
The place was constantly packed full. So it's a very popular place.
I would go back again for the food.
