Very good small family restaurant with excellent steak

Came here searching for the best duck confit in Paris. With its crisp skin, it was exactly as we hoped for, and with our search over, we immediately cancelled our next day's reservation for another place with duck confit. The accompanying sauce was exceptional. Calamari on the risotto was tender. Chestnut creme brulee was interesting, as was the pineapple dessert of the day. Service gracious. Enjoyed their range of rums and brandies as well.

Such a nice, cozy restaurant! It’s not everyday that you have such a great meal in Paris, with a friendly service just like Clara provided us. She was extremely kind and patient even though the capacity of the restaurant was on its limit for the night and she was serving all tables by herself. The pumpik soup (entree) was smooth and creamy as it should with notes of pepper which combined with the pine nuts on top made it the perfect start of a meal. It warmed the heart and the stomach. Shortly after the main dish was served: risotto with squid. I don’t have words besides delicious and perfect! The squid was cooked perfectly, not sheewy as you might find in some places. The risotto was make with the squid ink and it was just perfect. Creamy from the beginning to the end of the meal, with the right amount of cheese (not too much that you would get sick of it). I didn’t had a desert but they all looked great as well. Very well done, Chez Germaine. I will, for sure, be back on my next visit in Paris.

The onion soup is a bit salty but still delicious. It is very appetizing when paired with the bread that comes with the meal😆 The confit duck is really good, and the black vinegar on the side enhances the flavor! The cuttlefish stewed rice is very interesting, it tastes like cheese, you can order it or not! Overall, it’s still recommended~ It’s just that the store is very small and the distance between tables is very close.

Food could be more inspired and larger for the prices charged. Service was great.

Finally, there were many of us. So we set the mood. Pleasant, efficient staff and we had a great time I advise.

The best meal of our trip. We spent three times as much at other places and this was the best by far and way less pricey. Great service from the waitress!! She was so kind even with our kids. We went right when the opened around 12pm. The duck confit was incredible my wife ate it all and didn’t even want to share with me,lol ! The kids shared steak and fries and she even got them extra fries! My steak was cooked perfectly and was salted just the right amount. Onion soup was so rich too! We got a few slices of baguette with butter that was also very good! Our compliments to the chef !! We’re going back soon!

Intimate restaurant. The food is good, a little lack of seasoning. Interesting wine list on foreign references, more standard on French references. The welcome is very friendly. Good address.

Excellent restaurant, the dishes are generous, the room is tastefully decorated and everything is excellent. Special mention to the waitress who is very friendly and helpful.

This is indubitably the best French restaurant I’ve been during my time in Paris. Don’t have to say much, just come and try. Let your tongue be the judge. Price is definitely reasonable.
