At Chez Heidi restaurant in Carcans-Plage, you won't be disappointed. This excellent restaurant has been renowned for many years, and after the mother (Heidi), her sons have taken over, perpetuating the culinary tradition. Their unique expertise is evident in their hearty and flavorful dishes, such as confit pork knuckle, sauerkraut, braised ham, and more. After this delicious meal, take a short walk of 200 meters to admire the sunset over the Atlantic Ocean. Truly, at Chez Heidi, you can't go wrong.

Excellent roast with oven-baked potatoes and Sauerkraut. After a quick chat with the staff, a gluten free option was also possible. Outstanding!

There were three of us on a Monday evening, around 8:45 pm. The young waitress gave us a very warm welcome with her smile. The goose rillettes were good. It was just a bit of a shame that the bread was slightly stale. The ham was good, not dry at all, with a wonderfully crispy skin: that was fantastic. The jus was also good. I was a little disappointed by the two potatoes; they seemed a bit meager. Luckily, I had ordered fries on the side. However, they were very good, especially with the BMH on top. For dessert, I had a Liège-style sundae. I was a little disappointed by the taste. On the other hand, the others had chosen crêpes, which were excellent and very generous. We could smell the cleaning product from the restrooms, which were right next to our table. But it was closing time, so it makes perfect sense that the cleaning was done then. The bill came to €125 for three people, which is really very reasonable considering the portions. Plus, it was delicious, and that's becoming increasingly rare in restaurants. The staff were very friendly. We weren't rushed to leave at all. They came to check on us when some Germans across the street touched our bikes. Finally, we had a very pleasant chat with one of the managers before leaving. We've already planned to come back: for the ham hock, and, for me personally, also for the crêpes!

A warm welcome, a pleasant setting and very generous portions of delicious dishes, the waiters were attentive and treated us like family!

Basic food, the "fresh" salad wasn't "good," the tomato and melon were very average, the meat—sliced ​​braised pork—wasn't anything special, and the frozen fries weren't great either. Maybe you should only stop by for their specialties? I'll come back to try their "signature" dish for a second opinion. The welcome and service were excellent; the waitress was very friendly and smiling.

I would have given it 5 stars if the bread for the braised pork sandwiches had been better quality. But anyway... impeccable service, with a smile, good fries... the braised pork is always good... just the bread needs some attention 😊 WORTH HIGHLIGHTING: the price hasn't changed since last year, and that's really great!!
