Chez Max sur Lille

Reservation for a group of 18 people: super well organized, well placed and the menu offered was top and delicious. Two people had intolerances and the cooks were able to adapt. For the service, great too! Nothing to say, thank you for this beautiful evening :)

The reviews looked excellent for our family outing. Instead of a starter, we took the aperitif board. It was good, a summary of the entries. The dish, on the other hand, was a bit of a disappointment. The tartare was cut much too large. And it's bland. The flank steak was very good and a good size but received in blue cooking whereas ordered pink. And the beef ravioli were bland, featureless, sad. We were thinking of having dessert... Our table was never cleared even though staff were waiting. Another table had to ask for the dessert menu because it was so slow.... I don't mind being left to digest it but...🤔. We didn't wait any longer, we paid and bye bye.... Too bad because the wine is excellent, the staff friendly. We will not come back.....

Everything was very good! Whether it's the service, the meal or the place. I often went to this restaurant at the time of the "old max" and since the new one I have not returned and frankly we ate too well and the waitress was very friendly and we were even offered a little digo of arranged rum which was by the way super good!! A big thank you, I will come back more often 😁

Great discovery! From the reception, the team is friendly and attentive. We are informed that there will be a group next to us, giving us the choice to change tables if necessary. The dishes were delicious (superb shakchouka 😄) and the presentation was neat. The wine list is detailed, indicating the notes of the different wines (fruity, woody, etc.). It’s the perfect place for an evening with friends or a romantic dinner!

It’s certainly very good in normal times but we came during the clearance sale. These were the worst molds of my life. I imagine they were cooked and recooked. I understand that this is a special moment but what do others do?
