Very good, everything homemade, not a single bone in the fish, the dish was served piping hot, generous and flavorful, the wine was excellent. Never mind that one of the potatoes wasn't cooked enough, the quantity and quality were both there.

Best restaurant in Lille. We received a very warm welcome. The menu features Welsh rarebit and carbonnade. We are wine enthusiasts, and Chez Max boasts one of the finest wine lists in the city, both in terms of quality and price. A very elegant Syrah from Julien Pilon for €27. Bravo!

Very nice and attentive service. Traditional authentic and well made food. I visited on Monday night. So it was calm, only people on a date :) I also loved the music

We had a wonderful meal at Chez Max! The food was excellent, the waitress was friendly and smiling, and the prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend it!

03/12/2024: Pas de réservation et restaurant plutôt plein, accueil agréable et disponibilité parfaite, attente très correcte, cocktails délicieux, peut être petit manque niveau carte des vins mais ca va quand même, plats excellents, variés, délicats, rapport qualité prix parfait, présentation très soignée et travaillée. Ambiance cosie, calme, classe.

18/01/2026: Great burger. Nice place, but it was January 2nd for us, so it was quiet and a bit cold inside. Friendly owner.
09/11/2025: Nice place and the owner is great with her customers! We arrived by chance and left with a smile, having had a very good time.
