We came to visit the Périgord aquarium, and we won't hide the fact that we were a little disappointed by the somewhat dirty aquariums. The only thing we really liked was the presentation by the alligator keeper, a professional, extremely kind person who answered many questions from both children and adults. I would advise you to keep this person in mind; I can't remember his name, but he was truly a wonderful person. Thank you again for letting us pet the alligators.

A small aquarium, ideal for children.
The price is a bit high, but the fact that there aren't any other aquariums nearby might explain it.
The activities are fun.

Magnificent aquarium (my second visit). It's a freshwater aquarium with fish you won't find anywhere else. I loved the new area: the Teeth of the Mississippi! After my first visit in 2020, I returned in 2025 and noticed a lot of effort put into improving and expanding the aquarium. They've added holiday activities, and now there are lots of presentations and explanations about the animals throughout the day (the staff are fantastic). I highly recommend it; it's original, fun, and fascinating—a must-see if you're in the area.

The price is generally high for a mediocre aquarium: green glass, brackish water, poor lighting... it's too expensive for a visit where you barely see any fish.

This is a freshwater aquarium, so like our rivers and streams, the water isn't crystal clear. You can clearly see the fish that live in our rivers. The visit continues with the alligator ranch and the snake enclosure, where the fantastic keeper will explain everything. You'll finish on the terrace with the carp, which you can feed and pet. A wonderful way to get to know these often misunderstood animals thanks to the activities and explanations provided by the keepers.
