A very nice aquarium for a family visit with young children. It's a mix of aquarium and reptile park, with part of the visit taking place outdoors. There are some unusual species. Those who criticize the lack of water clarity and the supposed dirtiness of the aquariums clearly haven't understood that it's not due to a lack of maintenance during their visit. I recommend it, even if it's not the best aquarium; it's still worth a visit.

A wonderful visit to the Périgord Aquarium during the Easter holidays. The experience is both indoors and outdoors, making for a pleasant and dynamic visit. The whole place is well-designed and accessible, even for toddlers. The children particularly enjoyed the Easter sticker hunt, suitable for children as young as 3, with a small reward at the end—a simple but very effective touch! The exhibits are excellent, although we were personally a little hesitant about the reptile section and the captivity. The themed route is well-structured and beautifully decorated, making the visit even more immersive. A visit we highly recommend, especially for families!

The experience was generally satisfactory, but we were a little disappointed by the upkeep of the premises, which could be improved (windows were sometimes dirty, and the spaces weren't always very well maintained). Furthermore, the entrance fee seemed quite high compared to what was offered. We were hoping for a slightly higher quality visit at that price. It was still an enjoyable outing, but a few improvements would really enhance the experience.

We found the aquarium nice, however we found the entrance quite expensive compared to other much larger aquariums like La Rochelle Biarritz which are cheaper on entrance fees.

14/03/2026: One star for the location + two stars for the food. It's nothing to write home about, but it's decent; neither disappointed nor pleasantly surprised. However, the service is deplorable and unpleasant. After a five-minute wait in the entrance, even though the restaurant was practically empty, and a fifteen-minute wait at our table without a menu, he came to take our order, saying, "Don't sulk, I'm here." We weren't sulking, we were just waiting for the menu. Anyway. We asked for the menu, we chose our order, only to be told in the end that we couldn't order what we wanted because they weren't offering it at the moment. Sorry, but that's usually announced when you give them the menu. We ignored it; we were on vacation. When it came time to pay, we were met with a verbal tirade about the "meal voucher mafia" when we asked if they accepted restaurant vouchers, which my husband quickly put an end to, thank goodness.
