An absolute highlight in Annecy – warm, queer-friendly, and fantastic! We spent a weekend in Annecy and were specifically looking for an open, queer-friendly restaurant – and with Chez Pen, we found an absolute gem! The combination of bar and restaurant is simply perfect. We felt incredibly comfortable from the very first moment. The connection with the owner was amazing; he treated us with such warmth and attentiveness. We enjoyed it so much that we came back the very next day before the Fête du Lac – and this second evening was even better! A huge thank you to the entire team for these unforgettable evenings.

It was our first night at annecy The place is just a minute walking from where we are staying. The cocktails and drinks are very nice The staffs are very friendly The fromagerie and charcuterie was delicious

If you want to get away from the most touristy restaurants and instead eat somewhere where the locals also come, then this is a really good choice. Cozy atmosphere, friendly service and classic French dishes made with good ingredients. I chose calf's liver with parsley, served with salta and pasta. The liver was perfectly cooked, incredibly tender and full of flavor. A place with an authentic French atmosphere, good food and fair prices. Highly recommended if you want to experience local cuisine rather than a typical tourist restaurant. Dogs are welcome

20/09/2026: Excellent location and quality service. The manager is very welcoming and friendly. The portions are a little small for some dishes, but that's a great excuse to try the desserts!
17/09/2026: We ate on the terrace. The dish I originally wanted wasn't in season, but the very friendly owner recommended something else, which we tried. The local sausage was delicious. The other customers were also friendly, and we enjoyed chatting with them. I think there are probably a lot of local customers. It's a little far from the main tourist area, but I would recommend it to tourists as well. They are happy to help in English. Since it's a terrace seating area and the seats are on a narrow road, cars occasionally pass right next to you, but that was also interesting. I would like to go back to this restaurant if I have the chance. There aren't many seats, so reservations are essential.
