Chez Youpel sur Selestat

I had sauerkraut. It was a hearty meal, well-garnished with pieces of meat, my only regret was the bland sauerkraut, which wasn't cooked in white wine or seasoned.

We had a wonderful time at Youpel. The sauerkraut was absolutely delicious and packed with meat. The iced kouglof for dessert was a pure delight. We received a very warm welcome, and a special mention to the waitress (Tiffany or Stéphanie, I think) for her kindness, humor, and attentiveness. It was truly a lovely evening.

A very friendly brasserie, very pleasant people, typical regional dishes. Overall, a pleasant experience, we recommend it.

Had a delicious meal in this typical Alsatian spot. The tarte flambée is definitely recommended.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent restaurant with delicious food and generous portions. I had the veggie burger with Spätzle and a fresh salad. The salad dressing was especially outstanding—one of the best I’ve had. My wife ordered the large salad with goat cheese toast and a variety of fresh vegetables, and she said it was a five-star salad. We also enjoyed the free water, a refreshing Meteor Panaché beer, and a great espresso to finish the meal. Service was a little slow, but the restaurant was very busy and it was an extremely hot day, so that’s understandable. The quality of the food more than made up for the wait. We would definitely come back!

Excellent meal. Helpful staff. Air-conditioned dining room, which was much appreciated during the heatwave.

The small, forest-themed decor was quite nice. The waitress was very pleasant. The dishes were generous, not gourmet but quite tasty. Typical regional cuisine. Dinner was on a Friday evening in early June. We were seated immediately. I imagine it must be much busier on weekends and during the summer. I don't know if reservations are possible.
