Chocolats et chimers sur Briare

For Easter, I decided to treat myself to some good chocolates. So I went for the first time (and the last) to Chocolats et Chimères, it was raining. The interior of the "tea room" is tiny, the few tables (three, I think) were occupied. I bought a box to taste the chocolates displayed in the window for around €30. When I got home, I opened it straight away. The first one I ate was praline, it must have sat behind the window for a long time because the taste was rancid. This was the case for a good half of the box. I do not recommend this chocolatier who sells expensive chocolates with dubious taste.

The ideal place to take a gourmet break after walking along the magnificent Canal Bridge. Chocolate lovers (to chew and drink) this place is made for you! Tea drinkers will not be left out: a beautiful menu is offered to them. The icing on the cake: a beautiful terrace overlooking the canal.

Chocolat et chimère is a must-see place to go to Briare. A tea room full of charm with a range of delicacies and chocolate sweets. The staff is welcoming and professional. This place has it all.

It’s always a pleasure to come back to see you as soon as we stay in Briare. First time I tried the Liège waffle, it is only available in winter from what you told me and well I love it.🥰 great welcome and we even left with two vanilla flans, they made us of the eye. We'll come back for Easter 🤪🤪

I will come back by parking the canoe in front of the terrace, in summer to enjoy cakes in the sun, I still have some to try, the ones I tasted were very good and I will have to try the ice creams

Very nice place, unexpected in this place. A chocolate shop where you can taste or sit down for a drink by the canal, with a beautiful view of the extraordinary canal bridge. Very nice place for a break after a hike, or just for fun. The chocolates are of good quality, which doesn’t spoil anything!
