An iconic spot in Bayonne!
You have to experience it!
And for those who don't know it... it's a real treat! Go for it, but remember to book ahead, it's safer!

A short stay near Biarritz where we didn't want to leave without trying the Basque cuisine!
We were charmed by the atmosphere of this typical cider house. The little self-service setup was really fun.
Not a fan of the cod omelet, but the rib-eye steak 🥩🤩🤩🤩 was a pure delight. And we know our meat!
The two waitresses were incredibly attentive, multilingual, and always smiling.
It's an establishment we highly recommend 👌

To eat at this establishment, the typical lunch menu wasn't too heavy. It was very generous: cod omelet (with peppers and onions), hake with garlic, rib-eye steak with salad (dressed with walnut oil), cheese, and quince paste with walnuts.
The cider, whether Spanish or French, wasn't anything special. Meals are served at long tables and shared benches; if your neighbor is friendly, you'll have a pleasant evening, otherwise, it will be a very long one. It's very noisy. There's only one toilet available. Dogs are not allowed.

2024. Very good, typical Bayonne restaurant.
The cider menu is fantastic!
Omelette, hake, xuleta (a type of sausage), sheep's cheese.
Fries aren't included... What a shame. They should mention that. We waited a while... Great time spent with family. I recommend it.
2026. No more fries served at all... Everyone very disappointed... I'm taking away one star 🌟
