Comme à la Maison sur Le Puy-En-Velay

I came here for lunch today, not a holiday, and it was very busy. We were lucky to find outdoor seating available. Le Pier in September is experiencing a cold high-pressure system approaching, so it's quite chilly in the mornings and evenings. I had the special meal, which was absolutely delicious. You must try the three-course special; everything from the appetizers to the main course and finally the dessert and bread was unparalleled. Drinks are extra (I recommend ordering them). The coffee was quite good, and the service was excellent. Even though my French wasn't fluent, they had English to communicate with me. I think this place is excellent and highly recommend it. It's next to the cathedral, so don't miss it!

At the foot of the cathedral, this renowned establishment boasts a beautiful dining room, a pergola, and a garden terrace. A warm welcome awaits, as does the cordial, efficient, and well-paced service, despite the restaurant's popularity. A regional menu is offered at a very reasonable price, along with five- or six-course options featuring surprise dishes and the possibility of wine pairings, all at equally reasonable prices. The dishes are sophisticated, surprising, refined, and beautifully presented. Amuse-bouches, starters, main courses, cheeses, and desserts combine to create a particularly pleasant, even unforgettable, culinary journey. As an added bonus, the starters and desserts are different for each guest, multiplying the culinary experiences! In short, a resounding endorsement and confirmation of the recommendations in various guides.

Discovered this restaurant this evening. The cuisine is refined, the ingredients are high quality, with just the right touch of originality, and the price-to-quality ratio is excellent. We'll gladly return. I would suggest that the manager focus the wine list a bit more on natural wines, with wines that are less bland and bland, more vibrant and dynamic. This would showcase the food much better.

Wow! A truly wonderful and enjoyable experience. We ate on the terrace, which was very cozy. The service was excellent, with welcoming and smiling staff. We had a three-course and a five-course meal, both absolutely delicious. The dishes were beautifully prepared, original, perfectly cooked, with flavorful sauces and seasonal ingredients. From the amuse-bouche to the dessert, it was a real treat... thank you! The prices seemed reasonable to me, but reservations are recommended as this restaurant is popular. The only slight drawback, which could easily be remedied, is that the wine list is displayed on a chalkboard on the terrace. Having it printed at the table would be a real plus, in my opinion. Go without hesitation, and thank you for this lovely evening!
