We loved eating at Chez les Gens Heureux, a beautiful piece of meat. An assortment of vegetables that awakened the taste buds and an equally delicious dessert. The service was pleasant and friendly. One small drawback: we all felt the portions were a little small, as we hadn't had any drinks beforehand ☺️.

We didn't catch them on a good day; the wait was interminable (almost two hours for a meal is far too long), they forgot our drinks (bottled tea isn't the most time-consuming thing to prepare), they forgot the bread, and we had to get up to order our desserts and pay in the hopes of saving time. Not even a small gesture of goodwill, which is a shame. 3/5 because the staff was friendly and the food was still decent despite the slightly high prices. Even though the staff was apparently reduced, I think the organization could be improved; for example, the coffee machine being outside the kitchen and then behind a customer's table is odd. Other tables nearby rushed the service, which is a pity!

A truly excellent restaurant just steps from Caen city center. The food is absolutely delicious, always with a vegetarian option, in a very pleasant setting. I recommend it a thousand times over!! Thank you for the excellent service and speed! You can go there without hesitation 🥰
