Cote Macarons sur Chamonix-Mont-Blanc

26/07/2024: We started our hike at Les Nants - as we lived by Chamonix Sud bus station we hopped on a short ride over. The hike up is mostly quite steep with short periods of flat paths. I would say that for most, it may be more around a 1 hour hike up with a couple of brief short breaks. The hike is beautiful and mostly shaded with lots of streams to cool you down along the way. The hike is well worth it because at the top you are welcomed by the most colourful restaurant with potted flowers, deck chairs and table chairs with parasols. Looking across you can see the Montenvers railway track up the mountains, Aguille du Midi and Mont Blanc. We refreshed ourselves with drinks and crepes. After a little break we made our descent back to Chamonix. The walk down hill as always is a little quicker and took us 35-40 minutes. All in all, a great trek to get away from the crowds.
