Cote Pont sur Pontarlier

Côté Pont – Maison de Cuisine is a wonderfully charming little restaurant in the heart of Pontarlier. The owner prepares a daily menu, from appetizer to dessert, with fresh, creative dishes and meticulous attention to detail. We were there last week, and the menu was fantastic: The appetizer was a beetroot quiche on a bed of salad—light, aromatic, and perfectly seasoned. The main course, a melt-in-your-mouth roast beef, was served with a delicious potato and cucumber gratin that was equally impressive. The owner is also wonderful: warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate.

A restaurant with a retro and welcoming decor. The owner gave us a very warm welcome. There's only one set menu, and the wine list is presented in an old children's book. We had a lovely time there as a family and will probably return.

A very pleasant place, though the dining room is quite small, so it's best to arrive early or make a reservation. The concept of a single dish is interesting, but a bit pricey for those on a budget. Starters are €8.50 and main courses are €20.

A set menu that changes daily: the menu is well-thought-out and the food is excellent. We were seated outside on a very hot day and were able to enjoy the coolness of the Doubs River. Our child received a notebook and colored pencils, thank you for that! A great place!
