I had an all-you-can-eat couscous with four different meats for lunch on January 31, 2026. It was really, really good, and the person serving was very professional and very kind – so rare these days.

Serveuse en caisse souriante comme une porte de prison feuilleté de saumon pas assez cuit frites... Y en a pas " confit d'oignons" froid couverts salé plâteaus trempé ... A amélioré... .

Aux Brèves de Comptoir

02/01/2026: Bistro in the center of Saumur. An unpretentious place, like a neighborhood bar, serving traditional home-style cooking. The duck parmentier and the croque monsieur were delicious. The portions are very generous. The manager was very friendly and did her best to communicate with us even though we don't speak French. The food took a little while to arrive, but that was perfectly reasonable considering she was in charge of the bar, the tables, the kitchen… Good value for money.
13/12/2025: A place where you're guaranteed a great time! The food is delicious and plentiful. As for the atmosphere, I think Google should give it a few more stars. A big thank you to Chantal and her regulars for a lovely evening! Warmest regards from Perpignan… 😉
