A very good place to eat in Duras. The portions are generous, the service is very friendly despite the heatwave which certainly didn't help, and the setting on the shaded terrace is perfect. Finally, the prices are very reasonable considering the overall quality. I say bravo and highly recommend this restaurant; it's well worth a visit.

Great food in a lovely location sat outside under the ginormous umbrellas. Very friendly staff. Massive pizzas . A wonderful spot to take the family.

Thank you for your warm welcome. We opted for the regular menu. Generous cuisine with perfectly cooked dishes and fresh ingredients. A reasonably priced wine list is rare and worth noting. A very pleasant terrace. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend it. Well done, and above all, take care; this profession is so difficult. Long live our small, reliable restaurants; they are the heart of our gastronomy. And they certainly deserve a 4-star review.

Friendly but not immediate welcome as there were only two of them serving; generous and very good children's menu, incredible pepper burger, and perfectly cooked and delicious duck breast. A place worth knowing about.

Intense heat, a craving for something refreshing, and not much time, but we found a place to eat on a small, shaded terrace in a square and enjoyed the dish of the day: tuna tataki with crisp vegetables, mussel foam, and a side salad. The plates were beautifully presented (I glanced at the neighbors' plates, which were also very generous), hearty, refreshing, and above all, delicious. At €12.90, the daily special was served quickly with bread rolls and a very cold drink: what more could you ask for?

29/08/2026: We had a very good and pleasant time in this restaurant. The staff were excellent and attentive, and the owner was very funny. The food included original galettes, such as a hot dog galette with a local sausage, which was excellent. But you won't find only galettes; there are also tasty dishes. We had a ribeye steak with Roquefort sauce, which was superb—homemade, not pre-prepared—and the value for money was excellent. You won't leave hungry—a little piece of Brittany in the Dordogne!

Cafe de la Paix Duras France

21/08/2026: As a Parisian, I've been coming to Duras every summer for about fifteen years, and Café de la Paix has become a must-visit during my holidays. ❤️ This year, unfortunately, I couldn't make it, but I'm thinking about my little get-togethers with Régine: my coffee during the day, my aperitif, and of course, my dinners. It's always a pleasure to see this wonderful team and their warm welcome. 🥰 The food is excellent, the atmosphere is friendly, and with the sun shining on the terrace, it's truly the place to be in Duras! ☀️🍽️🥂 See you very soon, I hope!!!!
17/08/2026: While visiting the castle, we had a drink... then indulged in a black pudding terrine. The portions were generous and the taste extraordinary. The waitresses were lovely and always smiling; a truly delightful experience.
