27/04/2026: Excellent crêperie! ...in Duras, yes, I did say Duras...a super friendly owner and waitress, delicious and generous portions...dishes in a small brasserie style that you shouldn't miss, and if you're still hungry, have a dessert, you won't be disappointed, the crêpe Suzette is a gem...Enjoy your meal!

10/05/2026: For a place that's supposed to be welcoming in Duras, this brasserie is unfortunately one to avoid.
The service is completely inadequate: the staff isn't friendly, and the hygiene is clearly lacking. All the products seem to be frozen, which in no way justifies the prices charged.
The most shocking thing: the waitress took uneaten bread from another customer's table, put it back in the basket, and served it to other customers.
This is unacceptable.
The value for money is therefore very poor. It's absolutely not worth the price, as the photos show.
16/04/2026: An excellent restaurant with high-quality dishes that change frequently! Perfect and friendly service, with very kind and courteous staff! A thousand thanks! And finally, always a great atmosphere with lots of humor and wonderful English customers.

The Old Bookshop

11/11/2024: Beaucoup de monde à Duras ce jour-là, restaurants pleins... Mais à The Old Bookshop, mère et fille nous ont accueillis et se sont démenées pour que nous puissions manger sur la petite place en face. Et quelle bonne surprise de goûter de bonnes salades et des des desserts maison. Un immense merci pour ce moment très agréable humainement et gastronomiquement :)
03/10/2024: Excellent déjeuner à The Old Bookshop à Duras. Cela fait plusieurs fois que nous y déjeunons et nous sommes toujours aussi ravis par la qualité de la cuisine. Lydie propose chaque jour quelques plats et gâteaux tous aussi délicieux les uns que les autres. Ses assemblages de salades sont précis, parfaitement équilibrés, variés et originaux. Elle propose aussi des plats chauds comme des croque-monsieur complètement revisités. Quant à ses pâtisseries…. Cheese-cake, muffins, sont tous excellents. Il est prudent de réserver.
