Edogawa sur Montpellier

I come to this restaurant often; the food is very good and great value for money! Plus, the waitress is very friendly.

The food is excellent, the decor and setting perfect, the young woman serving is very pleasant, everything is fine. But...why must I accept eating halal meat, why must I contribute to the mosque tax, for, according to official statistics, only 10% of the French population? It's unacceptable.

For ***authentic***, real Japanese sushi in Montpellier, look no further than Edogawa. Everything on the menu is delicious. The Unagi-don has a generous portion of delicate, fluffy unagi; the sushi fish is fresh and tasty, with fluffy, gently seasoned sushi rice; the rolls are delicious and satisfying; and the gyoza are steaming hot and spectacular, wrapped in ultra-thin dough and fried to perfect golden brown. It’s impossible to choose a favourite item on the menu; they’re all great! Our favourite sushi spot in Montpellier. We love it!

I've been to Edogawa several times and it's definitely a reliable choice; I'm never disappointed. There's a huge selection: sushi, donburi, ramen, and poké bowls, and maybe some others I've forgotten. The portions are really delicious and generous. In the photos, there's a donburi with crispy halal chicken in teriyaki sauce—very satisfying—and above it, another crispy chicken, this time with curry, which is just as delicious. I also created my own poké bowl, and it was a great experience: cooked salmon, crispy chicken, teriyaki chicken, a fried egg, fried onions, and even Kiri cheese. The combination might seem unusual, but it was truly excellent and very generous. 😋 For dessert, there's a good selection. I've already had chocolate ganache mochi, coconut pearls (which I liked a little less than the rest), and a very tasty chocolate lava cake. The atmosphere is really nice, the decor is stylish and pleasant, and there's even a small aquarium with two baby turtles, which adds a nice touch. The staff is welcoming, and you feel right at home. Plus, the prices are reasonable for the quality offered. I highly recommend it!

Very friendly, however everything seems authentic except for the Ramen (miso).. not much taste, not much soup, and not served hot. Tried 2 times, same experience unfortunately.

Unparalleled freshness, melt-in-your-mouth fish. A true delight.
