El Chiringuito sur Molsheim

A special mention goes to the security guard and the cashiers who, young or old, permanent or seasonal, weekdays or Fridays/Saturdays, from opening in the morning to just minutes before closing time, always wear a huge smile. The only downside is the wait at the reception desk, which is often deserted. Or else, a horde of employees parade behind the counter, chatting amongst themselves as if the customers on the other side didn't exist. A little anecdote from this week: needing some tarte flambée bases, I came across an item in the self-service aisle that had mold on it, despite its expiration date not having passed. I then removed the product from the shelf to hand it directly to an employee at the deli counter who was busy putting away utensils on a table behind the counter. She took the product and tossed it aside, sighing because I had clearly disturbed her. A simple verbal thank you would have sufficed. What a shame. Next time, I'll mind my own business.

The store is very bright, welcoming, clean, and well-organized. I recommend it.

I would like to congratulate Isabelle in the deli department for her professionalism (welcome, friendliness and expertise).

Good store. Chris, I believe, the fresh produce manager, is very professional and courteous.

A pleasant store. But this Friday morning, Rungis market would be in complete chaos. Okay, overtime has to be paid, but pushing your shopping cart between manual and electric pallet jacks and double trolleys, turning around, waiting for them to be unloaded, and dealing with a huge number of empty display cases—apparently, that doesn't bother you. Shouldn't this chaotic traffic be happening before the store opens? Just a thought.

Mostly stalls that were well stocked.

Way too expensive for my budget. I only go there when I've forgotten something and need to pick it up. But it's a nice, clean, well-organized shop, and the florist at the entrance is very friendly.

A very nice, human-sized supermarket where it's very easy to do your essential shopping. The staff are very friendly, both at the fishmonger and the butcher, not to mention the employees at the checkouts.

Practical, but obviously you can't find everything.
