After two weeks getting fat here, still comfortably the best restaurant in Vannes.

Thank you to the team for this delightful experience. The cuisine is subtle and flavorful, finally showcasing vegetables, with delicious ingredients, and perfect cooking and seasoning. The service is warm and professional, and the wines and cocktails are original and delicious. We will be back as soon as possible!

Remarkable meal and wonderful family-run restaurant We had an outstanding dinner at Empreinte during our stay in Vannes. This was easily one of the most memorable meals of our trip through Brittany. The meal began with a delicate shrimp amuse-bouche, followed by a beautifully prepared cold hake with polenta. Our next course was seared white fish with vegetables and a wonderful yellow sauce, and then came the highlight for me: the lamb with sweet potatoes and green beans. The lamb was absolutely fantastic—beautifully cooked and full of flavor. We finished with a three-cheese course followed by an excellent dessert of dark chocolate ganache with quince, cake and crumble. The progression of the meal was thoughtful, creative and beautifully executed without ever feeling overly complicated. We also had an excellent red Pinot Noir with dinner that worked beautifully throughout the meal. What made the evening particularly special was discovering just how much of a family operation Empreinte is. Chef Baptiste Fournier was in the kitchen, his wife Marine looked after the dining room and wine, and even their son helped with bread and water. There is something genuinely warm and personal about the restaurant that complements the cooking perfectly. At €65 for the menu, we thought the quality and value were exceptional. Creative cooking, warm hospitality and a very personal experience. Empreinte truly lives up to its name—it left an impression on us. Highly recommended.

We came to this restaurant after searching for a place with homemade, high-quality, local, and well-reviewed food. We weren't disappointed with our evening at Empreinte. The menu is very comprehensive, and each course is a delight. In addition to the impeccable cuisine, the service is warm and full of helpful advice, especially regarding drinks to complement the meal. We will gladly return on our next visit to Vannes!

What a wonderful time we had for our first dinner at L'Empreinte! A truly delightful discovery! Everything was perfect: the welcome, the service, the ingredients, the dishes, the ambiance, the setting... The cuisine is original, fresh, refined—a real treat. The service was impeccable; we were very pleasantly served and given excellent advice throughout the entire meal. Thanks to Marine's excellent recommendations, we enjoyed some superb wines! Lunch on September 3, 2026. While the restaurant itself is small, the quality of the dishes we were served was exceptional. The dishes were original in their composition, and while the presentation was classic, it was still pleasing, colorful, and elegant. But the real magic was in the food itself; both the quantity and quality were excellent. There was a true marriage of flavors and tastes; it was delicious. The fish was cooked to perfection—nothing more was needed. The dessert might have been a chef's creation, but what a dessert it was! It was simply divine. The service was friendly and efficient, with clear explanations of the dishes, which was very pleasant. For both the food and the service, the 14-star rating in the Gault & Millau guide is well-deserved at 14.5. It's truly a great place to eat in Vannes and offers excellent value for money.

Excellent place, great value for money (and a real pleasure!). Beautiful, generous, and flavorful dishes, a very nice selection of organic/natural (but honest!) wines. And Marine and Baptiste are as good as their food and their advice.
