We had the pleasure of being at the last lunch of the Frechon era. A marvel, as usual. Everything is perfect, from the setting to the service. The dishes are masterpieces of finesse, balance and taste. All the appetizers are exceptional. Thanks to chef Frechon for his star years at the Bristol and all the best for the future. We are impatiently awaiting the new menu of chef Faye, who has a heavy torch to take up!

Toute la planète des passionnés de restaurants hors du commun pleurera la décision de Monsieur Frechon de privilégier d’autres axes de vie. Nul doute que la révélation de l’heureux élu qui acceptera la tâche de lui succéder attisera notre curiosité La bonbonnière de l’Epicure restera un cadre unique, la brigade sous la tutelle bienveillante mais intransigeante de Monsieur Kayser restera une référence absolue. Mais de grâce, pourriez-vous reinstaurer un dress code minimum. Est-ce si difficile d’enfiler une veste et de vraies chaussures? Un moment de bonheur dans cet endroit hors du monde passe aussi par une vision autre qu’un tee shirt et des sneakers à la table voisine

After Rillettes de l'oie, we ordered duck breast with orange sauce and Chateaubriand au poivre gris as the main course - the meat was tender to the point, the sauces were a poem! The two owners (one of whom is the chef) are super nice and polyglot. Some German, very good English and at the end Brazilian Portuguese! A wonderful last evening in Paris! Até a proxima! (Et quand I rentrerai à Paris I reviendrai avec beaucoup de plaisir sur l'offre de voir comment le maître de cuisine fait la sauce à l'orange.)
