I'm quite surprised by the other reviews. As a regular customer, I find the Lille store offers a varied selection of fresh and generous products. For the price, it's slightly above the competition, where I find there's no soul, no customer service, and the sandwiches and pastries are bland and tasteless. I'd compare the products to Paul, but with the added bonus of being able to eat in.

Maison Kayser is hugely popular in Japan! 👨‍🍳 I knew they had a store in Paris, but I never imagined they'd have one in Lille Station! 😳 So I stopped by for breakfast. ☀️ The pain au chocolat was just as delicious as I imagined! 🤤 At 2.3€ each, it's not exactly cheap, but since it's considered a high-end bakery even in Japan, I didn't really mind. lol They also have an eat-in area, so I recommend it for a quick breakfast or lunch. 🥪✨ The staff were super friendly, and even kindly allowed me to take photos. They even wrote down their account name on a piece of paper, but I can't find it now. 😂 I hope they find this post... 🙄

Raisin bread at €2.60 (expensive, but that's normal, it's a train station) for a pastry that's quite small compared to its normal size, and a 3/5 in terms of quality. Very friendly and cheerful staff.

€2.30 for a roll, I figured it was normal, it's at the station, the rent must be taking a toll on the shopkeepers, so I decided to add a cookie (undercooked) whose price wasn't written down, and bam! €6.50 for the whole thing 😱 I won't be back because of the price and the allergic reaction to the dried fruit, I wasn't warned.

While waiting for our train, we decided to have breakfast. We received a truly generous welcome from Corentin and Alice, allowing us to end our stay with the legendary good humor of Lille. Thank you both for your smiles, and all the best. Marine and Luisa

Back in my native North... pressed for time at Lille Flandres station on the way back, I quickly grabbed something to eat on the train... €14 for a sandwich, a bottle of water, and an almond croissant 😳😳😳 Wow! Life is known to be expensive in the Rhône-Alpes region, but I've never paid that much for a basic bakery meal 😮 It was pretty good... thank goodness 😂
