Estagnol sur Gruissan

A very nice restaurant; we couldn't eat on the terrace, but the interior is also very pleasant. The tuna tataki was excellent. The young waitress was very cute. Nothing more to add. Go without hesitation!

A lovely stop in Gruissan 🦪☀️ L’Estagnol was a delightful discovery! We had a wonderful time on the terrace, in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The oysters were truly excellent 🦪 and the menu features a wide selection of fish. I particularly enjoyed the monkfish skewers wrapped in bacon and saffron: a flavorful and characterful combination. The welcome was just as pleasant: the owner greeted us with a smile, and that makes all the difference. 😊 And a special mention—because it's rare enough to be worth highlighting!—for the impeccably clean restrooms 👌😄 A place where you eat well, receive a warm welcome, and simply want to take your time. A delightful gourmet interlude in Gruissan… which we happily recommend! 🌊🦪❤️

A restaurant known for its fish, oysters... The oysters were wonderfully fresh and perfectly crisp. The flavorful sauce on the stuffed squid made it truly delicious. The monkfish was cooked to perfection, making it a pleasure to eat. The lemon tart offered a version focused on lemon without being overly sweet. The baba au rhum could have used more rum, in our opinion (we lived in Martinique for 35 years). We appreciated the refreshing Estagnol aperitif, and the wine paired well with lunch. We enjoyed our meal there, just as we did on our first visit in September 2024. Next time, we'll try the zarzuela... The service was efficient. High-quality local products! A wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. An idyllic setting. And an explosion of flavors in every dish! The lemon tart is a gem!

I had the monkfish with bacon and saffron sauce; it was the best monkfish I've ever had! It was so tender and succulent! A real treat! The swordfish steak was generous, and the sea bass was perfectly grilled. A minor point about the stuffed calamari: it was good, but two more slices wouldn't have gone amiss. We chose an inside table to enjoy the air conditioning, but with the door wide open, we couldn't really feel it anymore 😅

A truly wonderful place! We go there every holiday and are always delighted. This year we booked the azuella with lobster: absolutely delicious!

Excellent restaurant! Oysters as a starter, and the fish of the day was a delight! We were pleasantly surprised by the desserts, worthy of a pastry chef (the pistachio mousse and raspberry tiramisu and the mandarin cream baba were divine). Thank you for delighting us with homemade food and for being so friendly. Don't change a thing! 😊
