A typical northern establishment with delightful, vintage decor. We received a very warm welcome from the owner and her son who served us. They are people who love their work and making their customers happy. High-quality, locally sourced cuisine. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I recommend it 100%. We were just passing through on vacation and had never been to this establishment before, so it was a wonderful discovery! All this in a relaxed atmosphere. The service is unpretentious, simple, but very well executed.

A warm and friendly place where the food is excellent. The crème brûlée is to die for, delicious with a little coffee just like grandma used to make. I will definitely go back.

We went there Sunday evening for the first time and were pleasantly surprised. A warm and welcoming place with incredibly friendly staff. Thank you to the kind lady who even lent me a shawl as we were sitting on the terrace. The staff really take care of you, and on top of that, the food is excellent and the prices are more than reasonable. We highly recommend spending an evening at L'Estaminet in Beuvry-la-Forêt. You're sure to be charmed. A big thank you for this wonderful evening; we will definitely be back. We've found a simple, friendly, and welcoming place.

Very warm welcome. My husband ordered a Maroilles tart as a starter, which arrived cold and burnt on top (I forgot to take a picture). The waiter didn't charge us for it at the end when we paid, and he apologized. Apart from that, everything was positive. The dishes are good; I thoroughly enjoyed the roasted Camembert with thyme and honey, and my husband had the veal escalope with Maroilles cheese. For dessert, we each had a chicory crème brûlée, which was very good. The service was impeccable, and the staff very attentive. The owner is wonderful and enjoys chatting with her customers. I highly recommend this bistro.

28/08/2026: A truly wonderful example of professionalism and honesty! I contacted La Croix ou Pile because I couldn't identify a credit card payment I'd made there a few weeks earlier. The team was incredibly friendly and took the time to investigate with me to understand what might have happened. They were even prepared to reimburse me if it turned out they'd made a mistake. Finally, after doing some research on my own, I found the source of the payment: no error on the restaurant's part, simply an oversight on my part! I wanted to emphasize their kindness, their helpfulness, and above all, their honesty. Such a rare and commendable attitude deserves to be highlighted. Thank you again to the whole team!
22/08/2026: Another must-try in the region, the seasonal cuisine is exceptional and matched only by the friendly, efficient, and discreet service. I'm deducting a star for the ambiance, mainly to avoid a perfect 20/20, but because the noise, evenly distributed throughout the different rooms, remains the restaurant's biggest drawback: it's very crowded... The price of well-deserved success, I suppose.
