Discovered it by chance, we had a wonderful time. The accras are excellent, truly, the welcome was very friendly, and the prices were reasonable. The peanut rum is excellent... I'm actually interested in the recipe!!!

We stopped for a drink. Very good selection of beers and wines. Super friendly waitress and owner. Go there. Closes at midnight. Happy hours are also available from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Cool.

Wanting to try the rum liqueurs, we went to La Cantine. Friendly service, very good rum liqueurs. We had tapas to go with them and a salmon tartare, both very good and generous. However, the mojito is to be avoided. Very little flavor. It's more like drinking plain water flavored with mint leaves. Virtually no rum flavor, and the Perrier had lost its bubbles... Too bad!

Are you looking for an unusual and friendly place? Simple but effective cuisine? Do you want to find a time machine and transport yourself back to the 70s and 80s? Look no further! You've found it! Alf, Goldorack, Kiki the Kiki of all Kikis, the LP for Ethiopia, an old barrel of skip, a chubakka wearing Jordan shoes! A magnificent kitchen cabinet, a wood-burning stove, an old barber's chair! And rum! Homemade rum liqueur. As for the food? We opted for mixed salads. Honestly? We'll be back! Well-balanced and well-portioned dishes. In short! A place where it's good to stop! Thanks to the team!

Pain Vin Fromage

04/09/2024: Services are held during the week in addition to Shabbat. Welcoming in the heart of the ghetto.
31/08/2024: This place was DELICIOUS! I am a big fan of cheese fondue, and this was my first fondue in Paris. Absolutely amazing...another great part, was they allowed me to get fondue by myself. I travel alone, and many fondue restaurants were 2 person minimum. Pain Vin Fromage had fondue for 1. Also, this place is not on a main road in France. It is tucked away in a little alley off a back road in Paris. That is how you know the food is good. I know in the US, places off the main paths often make the best food. Pain Vin Fromage is a small, cozy, place. Great for couples, families, group of friends, and lone travelers. Thank you, so much for an unforgettable experience! I will be back when I return to Paris at some point.
