Flam's Frères sur Strasbourg

We stopped by for the opening of the Christmas market. We loved the sharing concept; the place is welcoming, and the food is delicious. We were able to try different flavors (perfect for those who are indecisive!), and the prices are more than reasonable. The staff was really lovely! A great experience! ;)

We keep on coming back to Flam‘s whenever we are spending a day in Strasbourg. Their Flammkuchen are very tasty. The one with mushrooms and the one with goat cheese were our favorites. You can get an all-inclusive formula but I don’t think it pays off if you only share two Flammkuchen. I suggest coming here with a group of at least four people so that you can try many different Flam’s. We also had dessert. The apple crumble was great and fresh. The service could have been a bit more attentive. We will come back.

I will write a review on a very specific feature of this activity, which I had to deal with since I follow a plant based diet. I have been for a dinner with a group of friends who invited me without asking for my dietary restrictions, so I had to improvise something. I tried to ask for anything without cheese/milk, but the waitress did not even consider helping me. Instead, I had to struggle to convince them that possibly a bretzl should be dairy-free and had a beer with two bretzl for dinner. Honestly I was surprise how low flexible a restaurant in Strasbourg can be nowadays; I found very rarely so much difficulties in finding compatible options with my restrictions. I think that be willing to dialogue with a customer and find a compromise can always be possible, in the limit of concrete options, instead of showing no effort in it.

Great restaurant with very friendly waiters. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to eat a good tarte flambée!

We were able to enjoy an excellent meal, without too much formality, with efficient service and a pleasant person serving.

Very cheap allowing for a lot of food but the quality of the Flam is not amazing
