Very warm welcome. Very good restaurant.

It's been a long time since I've been to Flunch. Back during a meal with friends, one of whom has published a book and we were looking for an establishment where we could stay long enough to discuss his book. In general, unless you consume constantly, you cannot stay in the same places for very long. Arriving at 10:30 a.m., we were able to stay until 4:30 p.m. Compared to what I remember, the establishment has changed the arrangement of the hot food trays and this makes the space more airy. Our friend who has difficulty walking was able to move around without problems, especially since there are many PRM places nearby and trolleys are available to carry the tray. Moreover, the director, very correct and human, "puts his hand in the work" and gets involved alongside his teams. He was the one who helped our friend put his tray on the cart. I enjoyed the bowl of raw vegetables to compose yourself for €2.90. the grilled chicken fillet at €8.90 was a little "thin", but with unlimited vegetables, it's appreciable. Green beans, carrots, duo of carrots, ratatouille. Practical side: wifi is unlimited, it seemed to me that there were few sockets...I found one where we were (in the area, close to access to the terrace) under the table and against a sort of post. There are baby chairs available. Coffee (token) like chocolate is €1.39. The desserts are very good, according to our friend who was tempted! Please note (see photo) that the cake is offered during the week of your birthday (conditions to be requested at the restaurant). The WCs (near the terrace access) are clean and regularly maintained throughout the day.

Overall, it was pretty good! Except the toilets where you had to go there freediving for the urinals and with flippers for the WC part!

The meals are not always hot and some members of the staff are not very pleasant

In terms of vegetables, too simple, not great in terms of taste, too bad because in the past the quality was much higher. I think the restaurant should review the quality of the vegetable supply a little and make fresh produce rather than canned vegetables; the clientele would surely be greater.

Déçue, en arrivant la table était sale, mon mari a à peine commencé son entrée que le bipper vibrer, la viande était prête. On nous a rien dit en caisse concernant son fonctionnement. De plus, pour mon plat je n ai pas eu de bipper. Il y a eu une erreur dans le service des plats enfants, et à 12h30 déjà les plats presque vide dans le self, et beaucoup d attente pour qu une personne vienne refaire ces plats. Certes il y a des difficultés à trouver du personnel dans la restauration mais le client paye quand même. Si un restaurant n a pas le personnel suffisant pour faire un gros service limité l accès aux clients afin qu ils ne soient mécontents.

Having ate a fairly rich meal in one of Boulogne's more exclusive restaurants the evening before, I decided to give my stomach and wallet a rest and tried Flunch. The formula is that they cook hot food while you wait and then you can help yourself to as many vegetables, pasta, chips etc as you want. There's also patisserie standard of deserts on offer. So two courses and a bottle of water came in under 20 Euros. I had salmon for the main course with a mille-feuille to follow.....and it was excellent. The salmon was cooked to perfection with a nice butter sauce to go with it and the mille-feuille was, well a mille-feuille. Want a good quality cheap eat in Boulogne - go to Flunch!
