Wonderful restaurant with very warm and friendly staff and a great ambiance. The food is exceptional and better than a number of Michelin restaurants attended in Lyon. The service is as exceptional as the food. If you are going to have one great dinner in Avignon, this is the place to go. Make sure that you reserve as it small place.

Coming from New York, where we routinely pay five times more for Michelin-starred meals, I can tell you that the experience at Fa da do easily competes with, if not surpasses, those high-end spots. You simply cannot compare the incredible value and sheer talent here. This beautiful, family-run restaurant is operated by an incredibly charming husband-and-wife team. The entire place exudes warmth, making it an absolute pleasure to dine here from start to finish. The food is deeply intentional, showcasing fresh, peak-season ingredients with masterfully executed techniques. Every dish felt like a celebration of the season: • The Starters: We started with the trout tartare, which was frankly better than Nobu. Fresh, perfectly balanced, and brilliant. My friend had the spring pea soup, which was vibrant, velvety, and served with incredibly flavorful toasted chorizo croutons that added the perfect crunch and spice. • The Mains: The lamb was an absolute standout—perfectly cooked and paired with a rich, deeply flavorful sauce reduction. We also tried the duck, which featured a unique strawberry balsamic combination. It sounds adventurous, but the flavor profile worked so beautifully and harmoniously. • The Desserts: Absolute heaven. We tried a seasonal fresh strawberry dessert over the lightest, most delicate cheesecake base imaginable. We also couldn't resist their signature caramel and banana dessert, which was rich, delicious, and the perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable night. This is Michelin-quality food served with genuine heart, soul, and local charm. Do not miss this place while you are in Avignon!

What a lovely experience in full. Our server was a true professional who made the job feel like an art form. She was charismatic and witty! Of course the food was spectacular and the plating even more so. If you’re in Avignon, you can’t go wrong here. I say seek it out!
