We booked brunch for Sunday at noon. The setting was magnificent, and the people were friendly. However, what surprised and bothered me a bit was that we paid €130 per person for brunch, which included a complimentary glass of champagne.
Of the three of us, two didn't drink champagne, so we asked for a glass of rosé instead.
Unlike other brunches (Carlton, Martinez), we were quite surprised to be charged for glasses of rosé.
The explanation was that if we didn't want champagne, we could have a soft drink like Coke instead. 🤣 The charming waitress explained that we weren't the only ones to notice this, but that it was a directive from the head waiter.
Am I really the only one who's surprised?

A truly magical place, a cozy atmosphere in the evening, a lovely terrace for cocktails, and attentive staff. The only slight drawback is that it's a bit too noisy to talk on the terrace while having a drink 😉

A magnificent place! The waiters and waitresses were pleasant, highly qualified, and took excellent care of us. Impeccable service, warm and smiling staff. Everything was delicious, including the atmosphere.

One expects better from a luxury hotel. The prices were exorbitant for a bland, poorly executed brasserie-style meal: the thick but under-trimmed veal chop hadn't been seared at a high enough temperature, resulting in an undercooked dish. The mushrooms were overcooked, and the small new potatoes were a meager number and not properly browned. On the other hand, the crêpes Suzette, prepared tableside, were excellent. The wine selection by the glass was very limited and horribly expensive. The decor lacked warmth, and the armchairs were oddly low. Thankfully, the service was delightful and saved our evening!

We're always delighted to dine at Fouqu'ets. We're eagerly awaiting the new menu. The new management at Fouqu'ets is very friendly, just like the previous management, who always took excellent care of their customers.

We had lunch at the Majestic Barrière at Fouquet's, it was very good. The location is fantastic, right by the pool. Impeccable service. I highly recommend it.
