Four Gourmand sur Charolles

The pizzas are delicious. The staff are attentive despite the high volume of customers. But above all, the manager, Lilou, is an angel. I fell in the street, and while waiting for the paramedics, she took excellent care of me. Thank you for your kind heart, Lilou.

Excellent place, generously topped pizzas, appetizing pasta, and very good quality ice cream from a neighboring pastry shop. We'll definitely be back. So, we returned indirectly, not to the pizzeria itself, but for the Charolles medieval festival this weekend. We had the pleasure of discovering a reimagining of the medieval trencher, as original as it was delicious, created by Lilou Pizzeria – Au four gourmand in Charolles. As a reminder, the trencher was once a thick slice of bread used as a plate, absorbing the juices and sauces from meats and fish. Here, the concept is revisited with creativity: Lilou replaces the traditional bread with a base reminiscent of pizza dough or pita bread, both soft and slightly crispy. The Charolles trencher we tasted was generously topped with seasonal vegetables and particularly flavorful pulled pork. The overall experience is well-balanced, indulgent without being heavy, and showcases simple yet perfectly prepared ingredients. There's a clear desire to modernize an old concept while preserving its convivial spirit. For dessert, we finished on an equally successful note with a delicious baked apple, enhanced by honey and spices. A comforting, sweet dessert that pleasantly extended the experience. This is an exceptional restaurant, offering inventive and generous cuisine. A wonderful discovery in Charolles that we wholeheartedly recommend.

Super tasty pizza! It was very busy, and we were immediately told that it would take longer. We got our drinks right away, but we had to wait 40 minutes for the pizza. In the meantime, about 100 pizzas were made/baked. And very reasonable prices!

I've lived in Charolles for just under a year, and every evening on my way home from work, I drive past this pizzeria. The open windows of my car let out a delicious aroma that makes me want to stop. Tonight, I finally gave in to temptation… and what a wonderful discovery! Without hesitation, it's one of the best pizzas I've tasted in the area. A flavorful crust, quality ingredients, homemade goodness, but above all, food prepared with heart. If you have the chance to chat with the owner for a few moments, you'll quickly understand that this place is more than just a pizzeria. You'll discover a passionate and incredibly kind woman who has dedicated her energy, expertise, and heart to her establishment for over 20 years. Her warm welcome and love for her craft give this place a true soul. I also loved the "glouglou" carafes, so typical of Charolles, which add a charming touch to the dining room. It's these little details that make a place unforgettable. And because it matters too, the value for money is remarkable. Thank you for this wonderful experience, for your warm welcome and your passion. I will return with great pleasure, without the slightest hesitation.

Very average for us. The pizzas were very thin, and we suspect the dough was store-bought. The quality of the ingredients was very average. The service was also very average, and there were some awkward comments in the kitchen. The price was fair, which is what you get. The decor was nice.
