We knew this lovely place from the time of the father, but today it was the son who welcomed us personally. Our first impression was a visit to the beautiful kitchen, followed by the understated yet truly delightful patio. We immediately felt the relaxation and tranquility, and of course, after all that, the superb meal with a surprise in between that I won't reveal. The staff was very attentive. A superb discovery in the charming town of Charolles. The chef elevates local produce, captivating us with inventive flavors, delicious aromas, and elegant, creative presentations. Special mention also goes to the attentive and warm welcome. And a huge thank you to the chef who took the time to welcome us into the kitchen. We felt more like guests than customers. For us, a truly memorable experience!

Everything was perfect, the room was magnificent. A suite with a very large bathroom with a shower and bathtub. We also enjoyed the spa afterwards; there was a small error in the reservation on their end, but nothing serious. A very good massage followed, and we finished with a gourmet meal. The meal was perfect, a special mention for the unexpected beef and the frog legs. A minor point: the dessert was a little too sweet for my taste, and the dining room was a bit too ordinary. However, the service was superb, the staff very kind, and everything went very well. They deserve their 5 stars for hospitality and their 2 Michelin stars. A small change of knife would have been a welcome addition; a Thiers knife would have been more suitable.

We spent a truly timeless evening at Chef Doucet's table last night. Everything was perfect, with so many amazing offerings, from aperitif to dessert. The second Michelin star is richly deserved, even if we don't have the authority to "judge," except for our own fabulous experience. An exceptional culinary experience, delicious and delicate dishes, a blend of land, river, and local ingredients, original sauces, creations with a true identity—it was a truly worthwhile evening of gastronomy. The service was impeccable; if you were chatting too much with friends, they discreetly warmed your bites. Truly, this is a place worth traveling miles for, and if the chef even invites you into the kitchen for a few minutes, well then… I'll let you dream, just as I did last night! THANK YOU 🙏

The feeling of being at home, the warmest and most genuine welcome I've ever received at a Relais & Châteaux, the chef leading by example with his exceptional availability and willingness to engage. This is rare indeed; perhaps the family history of the place contributes to this simplicity amidst the exceptional moments the hotel offers. Hats off to the excellent dinner, full of gustatory surprises and intriguing questions, showcasing local produce; the wine pairing was also superb. The dream breakfast also deserves mention, though it's sadly impossible to try everything! Keep it up, keep it up, keep it up...
