Delicious! We were expecting a slightly more refined, classic bistro, but it's a true gourmet bistro. The dishes are as good as they are surprising; special mention goes to the most tender veal we've ever eaten!

The Charolais beef was delicious but expensive. The fries should be served in a small metal basket to allow the goose fat to drain, and the burgers could be served with optional ketchup (when we asked, we were told there was a supply delay). Furthermore, it would be a good idea to install a UV insect killer lamp (electric fly killer) when the terrace is open; it would make the atmosphere much more pleasant.

High-quality cuisine, beautifully presented dishes. Pleasant terrace. A few minor drawbacks that slightly marred the experience: - Inconsistent service (amuse-bouche and starter already on the table before we'd received our glass of wine ordered for the aperitif / rather long wait between the main course and dessert) - Cleaning of tables where customers leave with a very strong-smelling spray while we're still eating - Having to wait 10 minutes at the till to pay for our meal. I much preferred the days when servers brought the bill to the table so we could pay without having to get up and queue like at the supermarket. Aside from these few issues, the meal was excellent (set menu at €39) and the servers were friendly.

Pleasant setting, we ate very well, unfortunately the waitress was in a very bad mood that day, especially with us apparently...what a shame to end on such a disappointing note for a Doucet establishment.

In a very pleasant outdoor setting, with top-notch service, perfect food, excellent meat, local products, an experience to be had in Charolles.
