Chip shop next to a roundabout with a car park, so parking is easy. You can eat inside or outside. The quality is decent, but nothing special. Perhaps more filling than flavorful.

It wasn't quite as good the last time we went, a bit greasier than usual and the fries weren't as good, but we'll come back to see if it was exceptional. We've had better. The only real downside is the restrooms; a little renovation would really make a difference.

The fries were delicious and flavorful, and the staff were very friendly and helpful, serving the potato sticks quickly and efficiently. However, the "Hannibal" sauce had a flavor I'm not used to in other sauces; it was good, but not what I expected. Finally, the prices are reasonable. It's a shame you can't eat around the lake because of the private properties surrounding the restaurant and bordering the lake's edge. In short, I recommend this chip shop.

I came for dinner today to celebrate my 45th birthday. First time and it won't be the last. Quick and efficient service, little to no wait. Excellent fries and my Maroilles cheese burger was delicious. Great outdoor area.

No need to look elsewhere, this is a chip shop that makes good hot and crispy fries for a week's consumption, at (3 euros, 1 kilo is the small size). The crispiness isn't guaranteed for more than 2 hours, it's not a magician either, although...

Huge selection of snacks and dishes to take away or eat in….Very positive first visit… I really recommend it and I will go back…👍👍👍👍👍 On July 31st, ate in…. Really very good…..the carbonnade is delicious…I recommend the BIBI BURGER….it's amazing👍👍👍

10/08/2026: A very warm welcome and a friendly atmosphere, thanks to the fact that the inn is attached to the campsite and many campsite guests come here to eat. They know each other, which creates a cozy feel typical of the people of the Nord and Pas-de-Calais regions. As for the restaurant, there's a nice, deliberately limited menu, allowing them to offer high-quality dishes. The charcuterie board is generous, and all the products are of impeccable quality and taste. The terrine, cured ham, and smoked salmon are remarkably good. The Picon white wine was excellent, and the gratinéed bone marrow was absolutely delicious—both the quantity and quality were spot on. After the charcuterie board, one bone was enough for two, before moving on to the perfectly seasoned beef tartare, served with salad and fries. We finished with two scoops of ice cream because we'd eaten so well beforehand, and there are flavors to suit all tastes. Thank you for adding chocolate mint to the menu; it's becoming rare to find. There are other desserts too, but we didn't have room to try them all. It's highly recommended to book a table in advance. The manager is super friendly, everything went wonderfully, we'll be back.

01/09/2026: I've walked past the Estaminet des Dunes in Ghyvelde countless times without ever stopping, so when the opportunity arose this weekend, and the reviews were so good, I booked a table for two by phone for Tuesday, September 1st, 2026. Tip: It's best to call (forget emails…) around 9:30 or 10:00 am to make a reservation, and if possible, in advance of your chosen date. The staff is more available during this time. My colleague and I had a wonderful time enjoying authentic dishes, cooked to perfection. The appetizers, main courses, desserts, and coffee satisfied our appetites. In short, it was perfect (and without the rubber seal 😊 – for those unfamiliar, Le Parfait jars, used throughout France, had a rubber seal to ensure they were airtight). A very friendly place and a very reasonable price for a full meal without an aperitif. I will return, with other friends eager to discover Flemish cuisine.
