Warm and welcome host. We were hosted by Simon during the Braderie and enjoyed a number of bottles in, along with his own plum tart. As someone who works in wine I was excited to see so many French producers not represented in the UK. Very reasonable to drink a bottle in and a tight but enticing food menu should you wish to eat, it's as if you are welcomed into a home.

31/08/2024: Accueil souriant, belle table, menu mer au cordeau (produits, saveurs, présentation soignée) bon vin blanc, service attentif et diligent. Prix raisonnables. Excellente soirée. Recommandé !
07/08/2024: Menu du déjeuner à 2 ou 3 plats pour 21 ou 29€ avec de bons plats, un poisson juste bien cuit, un cadre agréable, un service agréable et efficace, une bonne situation en centre-ville dans une rue calme, je recommande..

Monsieur Jacques

29/07/2024: I had a wonderful evening as usual at M.Jacques’s. Arthur our favorite bartender server was superb as usual. We will come back with pleasure!
13/07/2024: Monsieur Jacques is a real Lille institution. The service is great and the wines are good. I removed one star because we ordered a mixed board (price: 21 euros) which, in fact, arrived on a normal plate and not very well stocked with cheese and cold meats. There was a lot of salad in the middle. In short, I found it a bit outrageous to see such a small plate for 21 euros. This is for me a point to improve.
