Delighted by a previous visit to the Brasserie (daily special) two years ago, my friend from Brussels decided to return for dinner. Thinking it was the Auberge de la Tour, I pointed out that the Brasserie was next door. I'm Belgian and I regularly eat with friends from Brussels in Givet's restaurants. I usually don't give my opinion because everything goes well. But what a disappointment! As soon as we ordered water (to avoid alcohol for the return trip), a Perrier was replaced with San Pellegrino, and there were no crackers to accompany it. The dish, a vol-au-vent (sometimes mistaken for a charcuterie platter), resembled a mess (to use my friend's expression), where the chicken breasts were swimming in a sauce without mushrooms (he told me he even wondered if it was homemade). He struggled to finish it so as not to waste something he had to pay for! My dish, on the other hand, was very good and well-presented, hence my 3 stars. However, the atmosphere was very impersonal and cold; no one even checked to see if everything was alright, even though the waitress was smiling. We were really disappointed with the quality of the food. We decided not to order dessert or coffee and left it at that. A real shame.

Great place, great people, excellent food. When we wanted an aperitif around 6:00 PM, we couldn't actually get a cheese and meat platter (typically French, and a missed opportunity from a business perspective). But we were quickly told he would put something together for us anyway. And that was so thoughtful!👍 We ended up booking a table for the next day. And we didn't regret it. We enjoyed the excellent salad for my partner and the delicious daily menu for me. Everything was impeccably taken care of, and the service was once again friendly and attentive. You really feel like a guest here! Keep up the good work…
