Superb brasserie, extremely welcoming, delicious and affordable dishes.

Review ending September 2026. Downgraded by two stars. (Luckily, I'm not a Michelin-starred chef!) The setting is very nice, in the center of Givet near the Meuse River... The service is almost impeccable, as there are better options, and the impression is that you have to eat quickly, whereas we were taking our time. It wasn't packed, so we weren't disrupting the business or the other diners since the seats were half empty. The disaster is the food. Outrageous prices compared to the mediocre quality. We ordered a simple vol-au-vent, and yet the presentation was grandiose, even without Céline Dion singing. The taste and cooking were deplorable. I had the simplest starter at €16 or €17 for two croquettes with Orval cheese or Orval beer... in short, I didn't notice the difference. At that price, it's 200% overrated. House wine and beer remain reasonably priced. One more thing... used to foreigners, even Belgians, we remind you that tap water is customary in France. In short, we drank well, ate poorly, but paid a lot for low-quality food.

A very friendly and professional welcome. The waiter, Julien, is always very attentive and friendly. A wide selection of beers and cocktails. Go there, you won't be disappointed.

We ate there two nights in a row and the service was impeccable; the waitresses and waiters were excellent. The charcuterie was delicious and the fresh salad was a delight. We highly recommend this restaurant.

After a week's holiday in the area, I finally found a restaurant with several vegetarian options, all very appealing. Bravo! The vegetarian meatballs and the burger were incredible. The service was also exceptional.

Efficiency comes before conviviality; you feel that you shouldn't linger at the table.
