Higuma, France sur Paris

Came just right at the time they open 11.30am. Already few people obviously as hungry as I am. First time here. Selected Menu A @€15: Shiosu ramen + 7 Gyosa Gyosa was good but not fried enough. The ramen soup was well seasoned and flavored though the noodle was more a Chinese egg noodle than Japanese true ramen. It was tasty though a bit shy of another slice of meat (probably because it’s the menu). The service was very fast and efficient and no unnecessary talk. It’s definitely more of eat and go than taking all the time in the world.

Higuma is and remains a true institution. I always sit down in front of the kitchens, alone or with someone else. It's always a treat (summer and winter). The welcome, the smile, the responsiveness, the service, and the cleanliness are all there. It's a shame that customers don't always fully appreciate this institution, probably due to the cafeteria feel. Thank you again, and see you soon.

I came back to this restaurant after 7 years. It has become bigger in area, more staff and the same Japanese CEO also serves, there is already a queue at the entrance. And most importantly, everything is still delicious!

Excellent Japanese-style canteen if you want authentic Japanese food. Special mention for the gyoza.

Very good traditional japonais food in sainte Anne street in Paris. I have been there several times and will go beach again. The food is actually very good if you like Asian and notably the japonais food. The service is very quick, but not caring. Most of the time there is a line outside that you have to wait 10-20 minutes. No reservations needed. The ambiance is just ok. Enjoy!

Authentic Japanese restaurant with fast and very friendly service

Delicious cuisine, with a wide variety of dishes on offer. The plates are very generous, the service is excellent, and the dining room is quite pleasant despite the crowds. As a bonus, you can watch the chefs at work in the main dining room!

We entered the restaurant just after 1pm. We waited about 10 minutes. As we passed the kitchen, we could smell the burning oil. There were many Japanese signs inside the restaurant that gave us a sense of its history. We ordered a set of soy sauce ramen and gyoza, and stir-fried meat and vegetables. The ramen had soft, crunchy noodles that were a delight for the stomach. It was the type that you could finish by adding pepper. You don't see this type of ramen very often in Tokyo anymore. The pork slices were thick and tender, and although not very big, they were satisfying. The gyoza had a Showa-style flavor, with seven pieces on one plate. The stir-fried meat and vegetables was bean sprouts, carrots, bell peppers, wood ear mushrooms, Chinese cabbage and minced pork stir-fried in plenty of oil. I think there was onion too.
