Hippopotamus sur Marsannay-La-Cote

Food & service were excellent, the only criticism was that I was unable to book ahead of our visit on our way to the Alps. No way of booking online or through the website, was advised on their Facebook page to call, which I tried time after time after time, day after day after day but there was never any answer. Even during times when the restaurant was open. Apart from that, no complaints. Our server accommodated our less than perfect French when we tried! Food was very good!

We came for dinner on Easter Saturday, during a visit to the region. We were very well received. We ate bites of cheese as a starter, super good! No complaints. Then everyone got a burger, they were excellent. The perfect cooking of minced steaks. I recommend the one with pink bread which is usually black. From reception to exit, we were satisfied. I ordered a dessert which unfortunately was not available, another too but it didn't matter, the commercial gesture of the dessert offered was very appreciable. Despite a full room and the waiter alone (perhaps the boss?!), to manage the establishment, the wait was more than reasonable. So thank you to Stephan for his professionalism, his simplicity and his sense of a job well done. It's nice to see staff smiling despite the circumstances of the evening. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Restaurant which displays full on a Dashboard at the entrance. I try anyway with my colleague and the very friendly waiter accepts us. Fast service and very good food. Thank you 😊

January 13, 2024 8:55 p.m. SERVICE COMPLETED. INADMISSIBLE. I WILL NOT PUT FOOT IN THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN. SO WE WENT TO SEE MR BUFFALO WHO WAS COMPLETE FOR HIM AND AT LEAST THEY ACCEPT US. It's been at least 12 years since I last set foot. The service nothing to complain about, the visuals ok, the products yes but the meat, whether steak or entrecôte, a little hard for rare. The size of the meat is perfect, the price is right for 3 people. Nice restaurant

Quelle est la différence entre manger en terasse ou en intérieur par -5° ? Aucune semblerait-il … il serait opportun de rallumer les chauffages svp 🙏🏻
