We arrived at 12:30 today to a nearly full restaurant. I was surprised to be seated at a table for two in an inaccessible corner, especially since I was with an elderly person using a cane.
Well, they eventually found us a better solution after a bit of searching.
The atmosphere and decor were really nice, and the neighbors were pleasant—I even received some lingering glances from a young woman having lunch with a friend. A shame... The steak tartare was excellent, my guest's andouillette was amazing, and the Beaujolais Villages was flawless. We were very well served by Laurent and also very well served by a young blond man, who, judging by his badge, was in training (for the profession, I imagine).

A very good experience at the Hippopotamus restaurant! The meat was delicious and perfectly cooked, exactly as requested. The service was warm and professional. Special mention for the gourmet coffee, which was truly excellent! The prices are reasonable for the quality offered.
