21/07/2026: Our favorite Japanese restaurant. We've been coming here since it opened! The tempura is exceptional, and the rest is the best Japanese food you can find in Lyon since the very classy Sakura closed many years ago, sadly. Personally, I always get the Rising Sun menu, which is very comprehensive. But the à la carte menu is also very extensive.

02/07/2026: A magnificent meal from start to finish. Perfectly cooked dishes with remarkable sauces. Special mention for the lamb sweetbreads. A very original and indulgent dessert: roasted apricots with lavender and Breton shortbread. Attentive service.

02/07/2026: We‘ve been traveling throughout France for about two weeks, had various fancy-ish dinners. This one really stood out. Absolutely loved the food, the service and the atmosphere. Everything really down to earth and just very nice and welcoming. Of all the „Michelin Bib Gourmand’s“ we’ve been to this was the most fine dining (just without the overly fancy). Heavily recommend.

02/08/2026: We had a wonderful evening at L’Alexandrin restaurant. The chef personally greeted us, which immediately put us at ease. His warm welcome and unassuming manner created a friendly and pleasant atmosphere throughout the meal. The cuisine was excellent, with flavorful, generous, and perfectly executed dishes. The service was impeccable, attentive, and professional, contributing greatly to this truly wonderful experience. 13/07/2026: I ordered a shawarma for €18, thinking it would be good given the reviews, but besides being expensive, it was absolutely terrible. Avoid it! I had to buy a dessert at the bakery just to have something to eat. Following your reply: I ordered a shawarma and this is what you served me. Perhaps you don't know what a shawarma is. Anyway, it was absolutely awful. I don't recommend it; it had no flavor whatsoever. I've never eaten at a Lebanese restaurant with such poor quality. I regret spending money there. Yes, yes, I would like a refund since I had to throw the meal away. 🙂

01/08/2026: A truly exceptional welcome. The waiter allowed me to have a coffee even though the bar wasn't yet open to the public, but reserved for hotel guests' breakfast. The place is modern, clean, and tastefully decorated. The view of the city is breathtaking. Thanks to the waiter's kindness, I'll definitely be back to try the hotel on my next visit to Lyon. A big thank you!

A traditional Lyonnais bistro, revived and improved, that's the recipe for this establishment that will satisfy you from appetizer to dessert, with impeccable wines and service. One of the three best bouchons in Lyon, according to the local expert, without a doubt. Special mention for the sweetbreads with capers, a true delight.

17/07/2026: This is a truly reliable place! We tried the daily special and the ravioli gratin and noticed two things: delicious food and generous portions. This establishment clearly knows how to cook, and they do it well. All of this is complemented by excellent service that enhances this delightful establishment: speed, smiles, and helpfulness. A great place at a reasonable price that we will definitely return to. Highly recommended!

28/08/2026: Second meal at Arepado. Once again, not disappointed at all, delighted even. Absolutely delicious food, dishes served in under 5 minutes, hot and crispy, lovely staff ready to accommodate any request, and a simple menu, making it easy to choose. The prices are incredibly low. The restaurant has both standing and seated seating. Gluten-free and vegetarian options are available for everything; I even saw a vegan dish go by. I highly recommend it.

The arepas were generous, delicious, and well-filled, made with fresh ingredients and bursting with flavor. You can tell the food is prepared with care. The service was also very friendly: a warm welcome, attentive staff, and no feeling of being rushed during the meal. The portions are generous, and the price is very reasonable. This is a place that's a bit different from the usual fare, and we had a wonderful time. I'll gladly come back to try other dishes!
