Hostellerie du Beffroy sur Besse-Et-Saint-Anastaise

Very welcoming hosts, they went out of their way to accommodate a special diet, and were very friendly. A very cozy corner by the wood-burning stove. It was wonderful to be able to sleep in a 14th-century building!

Hostellerie du Beffroy and its restaurant are absolute gems. Besse-et-Saint-Anastaise (or just Besse) is such a special place, and this hotel is literally the Medieval village's belltower! You're right in the heart of the village--the historic setting is fantastic. Our family room was perfect and equipped with everything we needed. The daily breakfast was fabulous (including several cheeses local to Auvergne and house-made jams), and the dinner we had was among our most memorable and delicious. Would love to visit again.
